New York Theatre Workshop Casts OnTask in Health Tracking Role

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) was forced to shut down for 2 years when COVID hit and made Broadway go dark. After their hiatus, they needed a way to keep their annual in-person NYTW gala celebration safe from COVID infections. OnTask helped them screen their 400+ guest list to keep cast members, donors, and attendees safe.

About the Client

New York Theatre Workshop empowers visionary theatre-makers and brings their work to adventurous audiences through productions, artist workshops, and education and community engagement programs. Their mission is to nurture pioneering new writers alongside powerhouse playwrights, engage inimitable genre-shaping directors, and support emerging artists in the earliest days of their careers. They have mounted over 150 productions from artists whose work has shaped our very idea of what theatre can be, including Jonathan Larson’s Rent; Tony Kushner’s Slavs! and Homebody/Kabul; and Doug Wright’s Quills to name just a few.

With the help of OnTask, NYTW’s gala committee was able to safely collect COVID test results from everyone attending their gala, giving them an easy way to track and verify submissions before the event. NYTW appreciated the flexibility and simplicity of OnTask, and how easy it was to keep collected information secure. With their next event around the corner, they know that OnTask is there to help keep everyone safe as they celebrate.
