Setting Milestones in a Workflow

You can set milestones in your workflow to mark important points in progress.

Before You Begin

Before you can set milestones, you need to create a workflow template.

Set a Milestone

  1. In the workflow template Designer, click “Insert First Task” or click the + above or below an existing step where you want to set the milestone.
  2. Choose “Event Task”, then “Milestone”.
  3. In the right panel, modify the default task name, “Milestone”. It’s a good idea to make your milestone name descriptive and meaningful so that when workflows using this template are in progress, it’s easy to distinguish the workflow progress.
  4. You can check the status of a workflow to see if it has reached certain milestones in the dashboard.
